Frequently Asked Questions

How much can I expect to pay for my bridal gown?
At Taffeta and Tulle Bridal our gowns range from about $700 to $1500.00.

How can you offer gowns at this pricing? Are they samples?
We buy our gowns from quality bridal distributors, but we buy them differently than other bridal stores. By doing so, we pass incredible savings along to our clients. We pride ourselves on offering brides brand-new bridal gowns at a great price.

Can I view your bridal gowns online?
Because so many of our gowns are one-of-a-kind, keeping our website pictures up-to-date can be very difficult. Gowns come in and are often sold so quickly that online pictures can become outdated almost as fast as they are posted.

Do you take walk-ins?
We are an appointment-only boutique, and we prepare for every bride who visits. This is a big day for you, and when we know you are coming, we can better serve you in a relaxed, caring and personal way.

When do you book appointments?
We book appointments Monday – Saturday in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Occasional appointments can be arranged on Sundays.

Can I book my appointment online?
No. Please call (403) 650-0248 or email to book an appointment. We like to chat with each bride before she enters our store, giving us sizing details, styles she thinks she’d like to try on, and venue details. Our relationship starts before you enter our boutique, and we like it that way!

How long is an appointment?
We book appointments one and a half hours apart. This gives us plenty of relaxed time for each bride to try on dresses.

What should I wear for my appointment?
If you have undergarments you plan to wear on your wedding day, please bring them. Otherwise, please wear a bra (straps or strapless) and full panties.

How many guests can I bring to my appointment?
The more people you bring with you, the more difficult it can be for you. We suggest a maximum of four guests, if possible.

Can I bring children to my appointment?
Babies must be accompanied by someone other than the bride, and toddlers and children will be expected to stay seated.

Can I bring drinks like champagne or food to my appointment?
Taffeta and Tulle Bridal is not licensed and does not permit alcohol in our boutique. To preserve the integrity of our gowns, no drinks are allowed in the bridal change rooms.

Can I choose my own gowns?
No. Part of our service is to pull gowns from our inventory that meet the description of dresses you describe. Brides and their guests do not receive access to our dresses.

Do you offer in-house alterations?
We have ladies we refer, who do alterations from their home.

I’m not getting married for a while. When should I come in to try on wedding gowns?
Every bride is different, but shopping too far in advance can risk the “magic” of a dress wearing off. Start shopping about eight months before your wedding. Throw yourself into the experience of it all, but remember that over-shopping often leaves you discouraged.

Do you offer bridesmaid gowns?

What if I change my mind? Can I bring back my bridal or bridesmaid gowns?
Bridal industry standards state that all bridal gown and bridesmaid dresses are non-returnable. This is to protect every bride who deserves a dress that has never been removed from a store.

Do you have a Facebook page?
Yes, we have a great Facebook page! It keeps brides current on new trends, provides tips and recommendations, and exemplifies our dresses in pictures posted by us, and our brides.
